To avoid shoulder surgery, my doctor referred me to Art DiAntonio, and, after three months of supervised exercise I returned to pain free golf. Now, as an energetic 84 year-old, I still have great confidence that Art can always keep me pain free, entertained, encouraged and stronger than I have ever been. The knowledge and discipline I have learned at Body Maintenance, have provided solutions to the aches and pains that appear to be inevitable in old age. I now always look forward to working out as the benefits are always accompanied by encouragement, enthusiasm and humor.

Art is a coach NOT a trainer. You give 100%, he gives 120%. Results = Amazing! Is that why so many MD's refer patients to him for evaluation and treatment?

I came here eight years ago to Rehab my shoulder and I stayed. I'm stronger than I've ever been at the age of 55.

I have been at Body Maintenance for around ten years. I originally came on the recommendation of the last of a string of physical therapists who wore unable to do anything with an old, troublesome knee injury. Not too long after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I underwent surgery, 13 weeks of daily radiation treatments and 5 years of an insidious cancer med that gave me daily nausea, muscle weakness and pain along with projected bone loss among a host of other side effects. Art designed programs for me throughout that time, changing them with the current state of my condition. I am now fine. Against all odds, my muscles are strong, and I did not lose any bone mass, but rather gained a small amount. This I attribute to Art. His knowledge and patience helped me beyond anything I could have expected. No, this is NOT just a gym but something so much more.

Art at Body Maintenance was recommended to me by a friend who saw that my back problems were not improving and getting worst. I have a degenerated disc between L-5 and S-1 that naturally fused, about 50% degeneration between L-4 and L-5 and 25% between L-3 and L-4 and I tried physical therapy three times, chiropractic, acupuncture, an exercise trainer at the YMCA and finally lumbar surgery. My situation was getting worst and I could not walk more than 100 yards without stopping due to pain. Art was essentially my last resort.
My initial visit with Art was an assessment which, after doing a couple movement exercised, he knew exactly what my problems was and gave me 4 daily stretching exercises to do and suggested a couple supplements turmeric and collagen. They all helped but, most important, he said that the fundamental issue is that the supporting muscles of my back were weak and until they got strengthened my situation would continue. I played sports and was active until my 30's but I realized that all the 40 years that followed sitting on my butt working on a computer took their toll. Because the few exercises from Art helped, I gladly signed up for ongoing training with Art and I now can walk the dogs a mile every day and I'm not limited in my recreational activities. When I do push it too much and get an ache or pain, Art assesses the situation, sometimes gives me a treatment, and gives me a movement exercise to correct the situation. His knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and nutrition is truly amazing!
I wholeheartedly recommend Art and Body Maintenance and have referred several friends to him. I'm 75 and able to do more than I could when I was in my 60's because of Art!
P.S. That friend who referred me to Art is 12 years older than me and he and his wife are in the same exercise class 3x/week with Art. Life is good!Bill Steger
Retiring gave me the opportunity to focus on health including a regular exercise program. Working with coach Art over the past 10 years helped to maintain my health, increased my health, mobility, and ultimately the quality of life.
